Overtime the masks and tube can degrade so it's good to have a spare of these to ensure the best experience. The air filters can also get bacteria in them, so these need changing fairly regularly. They can also get clogged up, which decreases the amount of air that can pass through and in turn make the compressor work hard. This can affect the efficiency of the nebuliser and potentially reduce it's lifespan.
