What is a pneumatic fixed walker?
A pneumatic walker is a very supportive boot, ideal for ankle injuries and instabilities. This boot is more supportive due to the pneumatic design as there are inflatable air cells that provide that extra support and also help to reduce swelling.
What injuries would the boot be suitable for?
Grade II/Ⅲ ankle sprain, stable fracture of the fibula, talus, calcaneus and medial malleolus, post ligament, soft tissue and tendon surgery or forefoot or midfoot injury.
What are the benefits?
The boot is designed to aid propulsion with a rocker bottom design which helps the user walk comfortably. Also, the boot reduces the heel strike force on the calcaneus. With adjustable straps, the boot can be tailored to the user to suit them.
